County Manager Carrie Genesio told commissioners July 15 that a sales tax committee report on Pueblo West roads will be shared following a committee meeting and that a new road and bridge web page is being developed with a transparency tab to post reports, including the 2024 report.

Genesio said she is awaiting one final data point before distributing the sales tax committee report and that a transparency report received from the sales tax committee chair is under review. She said she expects to have the materials ready for distribution to elected officials and the sales tax committee by the middle or end of next week.

Genesio also said a new road and bridge web page is under development and will include a transparency tab where the 2024 report and related information about the county’s Pueblo West roads agreement will be posted. She said she will demo the page to three commissioners before it goes live and that the county plans to show the page at a Pueblo West town hall in August so residents can see the relevant information.

Why it matters: the materials and web page are intended to give elected officials and residents a single location to view the county’s road work and the sales tax committee’s review of Pueblo West road repair and maintenance funding.

No formal action was taken during the work session. Genesio said she will share the completed report and demo the new web page with commissioners prior to public posting.
