Allen County commissioners approved a final change order and formally accepted the Smith Road Castile Drain Replacement project, funded through ARPA allocations.

Bill Hartman of the Allen County Highway Department said the change order increases the project by $2,764.02 but keeps the final cost well below the original engineer's estimate; the completed project was accepted at a final cost of $289,306.52 to Kraft Water Solutions.

A commissioner moved and a second approved the change order and the project acceptance by voice vote. Hartman noted the project’s original engineer’s estimate was higher, and even with the increase the contract remained under that estimate.

No amendments or conditions were added at the meeting.
