Allen County Commissioner Ron Turpin told the county council during the finance report that the county will formally close the sale of the Meyer Road property on Friday and that title work is complete.
Commissioner Turpin said the sales price was “slightly over 500,000” and described the transfer as having its title work completed. He also told the council the property was sold “as is free and clear” and indicated the county had signed legal transfer documents at the commissioners' meeting.
The auditor, Nick Jordan, said the sale had not yet hit the county financials at the time of the meeting and that the Meyer Road sale proceeds were not included in the May financial statements. Jordan estimated that related inmate‑care reimbursement revenues from the state might be higher than previously estimated but noted uncertainty until state appropriations take effect July 1.
