Council funds service-center technician position with $38,860 appropriation

Allen County moved $38,860 on Wednesday to fund a previously approved county service-center technician position for the rest of 2025.
County Auditor Nick Jordan told the council the appropriation is needed to fund the technician position the council had approved in an earlier meeting and that the funds come from the general fund. “A few months back, you'll remember that you approved a service center technician ... this is just the money we need to fund that position for the rest of 2025,” Jordan said.
A motion to appropriate $38,860 within the general fund for the service technician passed 7-0.
