The request followed public comment by neighborhood residents who described repeated, large fireworks launches in the Pine Mountain area and said officers reported limited enforcement options under the city code. Mayor Mark Roboe and council members directed staff to study increased fines, social-host-style penalties, remote citation options and public outreach.
