DRCOG staff reported membership updates at the July 28 TAC meeting, including retirements, seat changes and special interest seat renewals.
Staff said this was Phil Greenwald’s last meeting as an alternate for Boulder County; Greenwald has worked in Longmont for over 25 years and served previously in Jefferson County and as a former DRCOG employee. Staff and members recognized his service; DRCOG had honored Greenwald with a distinguished service award in 2021 and staff invited an informal gathering after the meeting to acknowledge his retirement.
Staff also announced that Kelly Van Bruggen moved from an alternate seat (formerly Adams County) to a full membership seat representing Jefferson County and that Rocky Max Fulkah (engineering manager, City of Wheat Ridge) was appointed as a new alternate for Jefferson County. Brooke Suboda was announced as the new alternate for Adams County. DRCOG staff reported that six special interest seats were renewed for two‑year terms (named in the meeting as Brody, Frank, Wally, Jeff, Hillary, and Carson) after review by the Regional Transportation Committee.
For transparency, DRCOG staff noted that while the transportation director position is vacant, staff member Jacob Reager is serving as DRCOG’s voting alternate.
The membership announcements were informational; no formal action was required.
