Floyd County commissioners approved an $8,519 allowance adjustment to the Redwire Building project on July 15, citing contingency funds as the source of the increase.

Nick Creevey, chief operations officer, told commissioners the allowance adjustment is number two for the project and that the redevelopment commission reviewed and approved the change earlier in the day. "The amount is an additional $8,519; this is accounted for in the contingency expenses for the project," Creevey said.

A commissioner moved to approve the adjustment and the commission approved the motion by voice vote.

Ending: Project accounting staff will record the adjustment against contingency funds and report to the redevelopment commission and county auditors as required.
