County approves $5,000 contribution to 'This is Morgantown' brand video

The Monongalia County Commission voted July 30 to contribute $5,000 to a brand video project produced by Interaction Media in partnership with the Morgantown Area Partnership called "This is Morgantown." County staff said the contribution was one of eight entities participating; other contributors named included WVU Medicine, Vandalia Health, EnRoute, Clear Mountain Bank, Breezeline, the City of Morgantown and Hope Gas.
A commissioner described the video as a PSA highlighting county assets and said the countyparticipation is intended to support regional marketing and economic-development efforts. The motion to approve the contribution passed by voice vote.
