Sachem board elects Vincent Reynolds president, Rob Scavo vice president; oaths administered

Vincent Reynolds was elected president of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education for the 2025–26 school year at the board’s July 1 reorganizational meeting, and Rob Scavo was elected vice president.
The board administered the constitutional oath of office to newly elected trustees, the newly elected president and vice president, district clerk Allison Florio, and newly appointed treasurer and deputy treasurer. Student board members Mia and Daniel also received the student board member oath during the meeting.
The temporary chair opened nominations for president and asked for a motion. A nomination for Vincent Reynolds was made and Sabrina Pickowitz seconded. The board voted “Aye” and the motion carried. The temporary chair then read the resolution electing Reynolds “to the president of the Board of Education of the Sachem Central School District for the ensuing official year ending 06/30/2026” and ordered that the constitutional oath be administered by the district clerk. Reynolds took the oath and offered brief remarks, thanking trustees and district leaders: “I just wanna say thank you to my fellow trustees for your support and your confidence. I greatly appreciate that, and I look forward to working with you all this year.”
Sabrina Pickowitz nominated Rob Scavo for vice president and Mike Isernia seconded. The board approved the nomination by voice vote and Scavo was sworn in. The board then moved and approved a series of routine consent agenda motions and appointments, including the appointment of Allison Florio as district clerk and Mike Isernia as district treasurer; the motions were approved by voice vote with the chair stating “Motion carried.”
The meeting combined the formal reorganizational items (elections, oaths, and statutory appointments) with the opening of the regular meeting. No contested votes or roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes for the election items; the record shows voice votes on each motion, concluded by the chair’s statement that the motion carried.
Board members and district staff were present for the swearing-in and for a short set of remarks welcoming new trustees and student members before moving on to committee assignments and regular business.
