Board appoints two assistant principals at Kissimmee Middle and Toho High

Heather Miller was appointed assistant principal at Kissimmee Middle School. Board member Teresa Castillo moved the appointment and Paula Bronson seconded; the board voted by voice to approve the appointment. Miller addressed the board, saying she was “very deeply honored and genuinely grateful” and pledged to support Kissimmee Middle School’s staff and families.
The board also approved Lauren Osborne as assistant principal at Toho High School (presented in the meeting as “Tehaupah Kaliga High School/Toho”). That appointment was moved by Castillo and seconded by Resaida Garcia and approved by voice vote. Osborne thanked the board and district leaders and said she looked forward to supporting students at Toho.
Both appointments were presented with brief résumés summarizing prior teaching and leadership experience and academic credentials read into the record during the appointments portion of the meeting.
