County approves security camera service contract, six‑month Granby sublease for public health services

Grand County commissioners on June 10 approved two items from the public health department: a service contract to install security cameras at the county public health building and a six‑month sublease that will allow Grand County Public Health to provide reproductive health services in Granby one day per week.
Hannah Wein, deputy director of Grand County Public Health, presented both items. For building security, Wein said the department seeks to install two cameras (front and back) and to purchase a 10‑year service contract to store the data. Funding for the camera contract will come from remaining COVID‑related federal funds that expire at the end of the month.
On the sublease, Wein said public health plans to co‑locate a weekly reproductive health clinic in Granby through a sublease with a rural health network; Grand County Advocates will share the space. The initial term is six months at a cost of $1,200 for the period. Wein said the sublease is funded through the department’s reproductive health grant and that the county hopes to test the arrangement and pursue additional grant funds if demand and outcomes warrant continued or expanded services.
Commissioners voted to authorize the chair to sign both the service contract with Colorado Doorways and the commercial sublease agreement to permit public health to begin services in Granby on the agreed terms. Wein emphasized transportation barriers for some residents and said the Granby location is intended to reduce those barriers.
Commissioners and staff noted the sublease signature line carried the director’s name and requested administrative clarity on final signature lines and processes before execution; staff indicated they would reconcile the signature block with county legal before finalizing.
