The Pomona Unified School District Board of Education approved a side letter of agreement with the Associated Pomona Teachers (APT) to correct and clarify contract language related to eligibility dates for health and welfare and a 2% off-schedule salary increase.

A district staff member said the change corrects a clerical error in previously approved contract language so that members active on June 2 receive both the health and welfare benefits and the 2% off-schedule increase. The correction is intended to memorialize the parties’ intent and prevent future audit disputes.

The board opened and closed the public hearing on the item with no public comments and approved the side letter by a 5-0 vote.
