Police Chief Zach Glover and city staff recommended hiring Brandon Goff to fill a vacancy in the Flandreau Police Department. Staff recommended placing Goff at step 1 of the certified police officer wage scale at $24.87 per hour.

Cole told the council Goff meets necessary qualifications and certifications. City staff said wages for certified police officers are included in the 2025 crime control budget within the general fund and that the hire will bring the department roster to six officers.

Alderman Tufte moved to place Brandon Goff at step 1 of the certified police officer wage scale; Alderman Allers seconded the motion and it carried.
