The Plymouth Select Board voted to accept the annual Highway Safety Grant for traffic enforcement at the meeting. The grant as presented included an initial amount of $4,800 and an amendment of $1,948.13, yielding an adjusted total grant limitation of $6,748.13.
Ted (Select Board member / read town manager report) moved to accept the grant terms as presented and to designate Town Manager Scott Wheaton as the authorized signer; a second was recorded and the motion carried by voice vote with all members present saying “Aye.” Board members said they have accepted similar grants in prior years and that staff had reviewed the amended grant language.
Town staff said final signature by Scott Wheaton will occur when he is available and that the grant paperwork was on the agenda for acceptance. No new local match or additional municipal appropriation was discussed at the meeting; members said the grant follows the town’s usual acceptance practices for state traffic-enforcement grants.
The board asked staff to retain the grant amendment documentation in the records and to file required grant performance reports with the state as specified in the grant agreement.
