Details: Alan, speaking for the Old Home Day committee, said the event drew many volunteers and vendors this year. Committee members reported vendor sales and Eventbrite revenue put the event “right on target, a little under” the planned budget. They also said fireworks costs increased about 20 percent; the committee used $7,000 carried forward from a prior year to cover part of the cost this year because previous rains had canceled earlier events.
Procedural items: The committee has scheduled its next official meeting for September 16 at 6 p.m. at the Historical Society and invited more volunteers to join. Selectmen approved the motion to set the 2026 date by voice vote.
