The Bedford Town Council on June 11 appointed Daniel Heath as a full member of the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission and Ed Kamisky as an alternate member, with both terms set to expire June 30, 2029.
Staff said the appointments follow Planning Board review and are effective July 1. The Planning Board recommended promoting alternate Daniel Heath to a full seat and filling the alternate slot with Ed Kamisky.
Councilor Bill Carter moved the appointments and Councilor Kathleen Bemis seconded. The roll call vote was recorded as passing; the minutes note one councilor opposed and one councilor abstaining. Chair Laurie Radke asked staff to record the opposition and abstention in the official minutes.
Councilors offered brief comments about applicant backgrounds; one councilor asked staff to provide more background on another applicant who had applied for multiple boards in the past. No further debate occurred and the council adopted the appointments.
