Burleson Independent School District staff told the board July 28 that the district is upgrading security cameras at elementary campuses, has installed vaping sensors in secondary restrooms, completed a biannual maintenance audit of campus safety hardware and ran a full-scale active‑threat and reunification exercise in June.
Steve Logan briefed the board on the status of multiple projects, saying the district is “upgrading the security camera systems at all of our elementary campuses to match the cloud managed systems already in place at our secondary schools.
