The Benton County Board of Supervisors approved a fireworks display permit for Karen Peterson of Loonberry Farm in Atkins for Aug. 2. Staff confirmed the display date and said aerial salutes were included on the same day. The county record shows the fire chief had already signed off on the permit.

A supervisor moved to accept the permit application; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote with supervisors recorded as voting in favor. Staff asked the applicant to sign a missing second page of the permit packet before proceeding.

County staff said routine administrative follow-up will ensure insurance, safety plans and any required permits are on file before the event date.
