Bloomington City Council on Monday approved an annexation agreement for property commonly known as 502 Lutz Road (Keiser Farms), a parcel of about 74.5 acres at the southwest corner of Lutz and Morris Drive.
Kelly Pfeiffer, director of development services, told the council the site is contiguous to city limits and can be served by water and sewer. Under the annexation agreement the northern portion would be zoned R‑3 to accommodate a proposed multifamily development; the southern portion would be zoned to allow a solar farm. Pfeiffer said the agreement includes standard tap‑on fees and no waivers are being requested.
The public hearing opened at 6:03 p.m.; no one registered to testify. The plan commission forwarded the annexation and zoning map amendment with a unanimous recommendation; the council voted to adopt the annexation ordinance and zoning amendment.
