The Waunakee Village Board approved a resolution on July 22 releasing a plat restriction at 1112 Quinn Drive that had prohibited vehicular access in a specific area of the lot.
Lauren (planning staff) told the board the restriction is part of the Arboretum Village plat and that the property owners requested the release so they could move a shared driveway 25 feet to the west; owners told the plan commission and the board that the adjacent neighbor’s higher driveway and foundation would create a slope greater than the village’s maximum 12% if the driveway were built as platted.
Owner Penny (speaking at the podium) described the engineering issue and said the neighbor’s raised slab and driveway created the excessive slope, making the planned joint driveway impractical. The plan commission reviewed the request and recommended approval at its meeting.
Action taken: The board adopted the resolution releasing the plat restriction for 1112 Quinn Drive by voice vote following staff recommendation and the plan commission’s favorable recommendation. No additional conditions were recorded in the public motion.
