Jacob Hagen and Tyler Newman, principals of Agrevia, a new ag-engineering firm based in Perry, Iowa, introduced the company and described services they offer to county drainage districts, landowners and wetland projects.
Hagen said both principals grew up on farms and emphasized Agrevia’s small-team model: two principals provide surveying, design, hearing representation and construction observation directly to clients. The presenters said their lower overhead allows more direct client communication and competitive pricing, and that they had ongoing or recent projects in Wright, Webster and Greene counties.
They said Agrevia opened May 1 and can provide construction management, on-site observation and subcontract licensed land-surveyor work as needed. Supervisors asked about cost structure; presenters said some clients receive an estimate based on a percentage of the project while mileage and office expenses may be separated from an all-inclusive hourly rate.
No board action was taken; supervisors thanked the presenters and said they would consider Agrevia for future drainage or wetland projects.
