Jackson County commissioners on July 14 approved the routine appointment of Commissioner Gulley to serve as the county's representative on the ACCA Legislative Committee.

Commissioners explained that the appointment rotates among members; Commissioner McBride previously served two consecutive terms, and an existing rotation placed the seat with Commissioner Gulley, who agreed to serve. The commission approved the appointment by voice vote.

Staff said the county will notify the ACCA when details are finalized.
