Jackson County appoints Hayley Altman to Department of Human Resources board

The Jackson County Commission unanimously appointed Hayley Altman to the county Department of Human Resources board at its July 28, 2025 meeting. Commission staff summarized four applicants for the unexpired term: Hayley Altman (a special-education teacher and former foster parent), Ayleek Ullman, Andre Bolt and Cheryl Long (a former executive director of the Jackson County Childrens Advocacy Center and a 12-year Department of Human Resources employee). After a nomination and a roll-call vote, commissioners recorded a unanimous approval and appointed Altman to the seat.
