City seeks three-year extension with Motorola for body-worn camera services

He added that the body-worn camera program is a “mandatory program” and “it’s a statutory requirement that we have those and wear those while we’re on duty.”
The chief offered to answer questions and the mayor asked that item number 4 be moved to the regular agenda for a formal vote next week. No formal vote on the contract extension was taken at the committee meeting.
The committee did not receive new cost detail or a contract copy at the meeting; the chief said only that extending in 2025 would lock in the current rate.
