The Boyertown Area School District Board approved an E‑rate eligible information-technology infrastructure upgrade on July 20, accepting the project at a net district cost of $362,143.62 after 50 percent E‑rate funding. The administration said the project was budgeted in the 2025–26 IT budget and recommended Integra 1 as the vendor.

Facilities and IT staff described the upgrade as an infrastructural refresh of wired and wireless access components used to deliver Internet and instructional technology across district buildings. Mr. Fite, who spoke as the district IT representative, said the Cisco equipment being purchased is rated for a five- to ten-year lifespan and that the district expects a 5–7 year useful life for the installed infrastructure.
