Medina County commissioners approved seven finance resolutions, including expenditure adjustments, cash transfers related to 4-D reimbursements for 2025, creation and appropriation of drug task force grant funds, an agreement with Country View Auto Recycling for vehicle processing for the sheriff's office, authorizing routine county official expenses, and settlement of weekly bills totaling $4,288,838.16.
Finance director Matt Springer told the board that the weekly bill settlement included funds for the purchase of the career center; the county received full payment yesterday and was scheduled to close the transaction on Thursday. Springer also identified the creation of a Recovery Ohio grant fund and a drug task force GRAMA fund as part of the package.
Commissioners approved the seven resolutions by unanimous roll call. No additional cost breakdowns were provided for the individual bills beyond the aggregate settlement total recorded in the resolution.
Springer and commissioners briefly noted the career center closing as the final step in that matter; no dissent or opposition to the finance package was recorded on the floor.
