The Sandusky City Commission on July 28, 2025, approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to purchase a PKS heavy-duty four-post vehicle lift with accessories from LiftNow Automotive Equipment Corporation for the Sandusky Transit System.

Miss Whitehead moved to adopt the ordinance under suspension of the rules in accordance with section 14 of the City Charter; the motion was seconded and the commission recorded unanimous support. The ordinance was presented as necessary equipment for the Sandusky Transit System; the ordinance was declared to take immediate effect under the charter.

The commission called the question and recorded yes votes from all commissioners present. The item will allow the Transit Department to acquire the vehicle-lift equipment without additional delay; staff did not propose amendments to the purchase at the July 28 meeting.
