Brash said the audit option would not be retroactive to past semesters and that counselors would help students select the audit option during course registration.
Board members praised the changes for widening access to advanced coursework; members asked about communication to families, retroactivity of the audit option and supports for counselors. The board voted to approve the catalog changes; no member recorded an opposition during the voice vote.
Brash said the district will distribute updated catalogs to families and embed the changes in the scheduling system so counselors can assist students during registration.
