The Grant County assessor told the board July 24 that two appraiser associate positions have been filled and that county reappraisals have resumed in the town of Santa Clara. The assessor said Cody Valines and Romelo Quinones (names as read into the record) began work July 21 and that an appraiser (Veronica Gary, per the record) is visiting about 1,600 accounts in Santa Clara to photograph properties and update sketches to reflect renovations, additions or demolitions.

The assessor said appraisers will leave a county card at visited properties, will be using county vehicles and phones to take photos, and that property owners with questions should call the assessor’s office. The assessor said the field appraiser's schedule is Wednesday and Thursday in the community and that newly hired appraisers will accompany the current appraiser in the field.
