Ayers said Wright began teaching in the district in 2014, held roles including dean of discipline and assistant principal, and most recently served as assistant principal for curriculum at Brandon High. Dr. Anthony Jones was described as a 28‑year district veteran who previously served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal at four different campuses.
Both appointments were included in the consent agenda the board approved earlier in the meeting; the consent agenda passed unanimously. The superintendent invited both appointees to stand for recognition and the board acknowledged school staff and community members who attended.
What this means: both principals will assume leadership at their respective schools for the 2025–26 school year. Schools and families will receive formal notice from central office and the schools about leadership transitions.
