Council member Hollingsworth, chairing the Parks, Public Utilities and Technology Committee, said the agreement ensures continued public access, professional management and operational stability, supports local partnerships, and provides the city with a 10% share of revenue. The speaker noted the facility operates approximately eight months of the year under the agreement.
The council adopted the measure without amendment; the roll-call vote recorded eight in favor and none opposed. The chair signed the bill.
Implementation will be handled by Seattle Parks and Recreation under the terms authorized in the legislation, including the multi-year agreement and revenue sharing described on the record.
