Regency Extended Care Center representatives presented a narrow scope amendment June 10 to enclose an existing 343‑square‑foot covered patio at 75 Ashburton Avenue for a conference room and offices. Kevin Phillips of Shaffer Architects said the proposed work uses the existing foundation, columns and roof and will not expand the building footprint.
"It's not really an addition in that we're not building past the existing foundation that's already there. We're just enclosing that covered porch area," Phillips said, describing the work as a 343‑square‑foot enclosure. He said there would be no changes to lot lines, parking, curb cuts, lighting, landscaping or drainage.
Planning staff reported no departmental comments on the submittal. The board had no technical questions; staff will advise the applicant when the matter will be scheduled for a future meeting.
