Zoning board approves three area variances for O’Reilly Auto Parts at former Rite Aid on Main Street

The City of Poughkeepsie Zoning Board of Appeals on July 14 approved three area-variance resolutions permitting changes tied to an O’Reilly Auto Parts store proposed for 709–719 Main Street, the former Rite Aid site. The board voted to adopt the three resolutions as posted.

The actions covered three separate variance requests identified in the posted documents: one under Section 19 6.48 I 1, a second under Section 19 6.48 D 2, and a third listed again as Section 19 6.48 I 1 (distinct applications in the packet). The board chair called for a roll call and then a motion to adopt each resolution; each motion passed on unanimous voice votes.

The board confirmed a resolution had been prepared and posted in advance and that copies were available to the applicant and public. No substantive public testimony opposing the applications was recorded during the meeting.
