The Board of Supervisors approved the consent agenda, which included a resolution approving purchase of a 2025 Ford F‑450 wildland engine (brush truck) for the Stewartsville–Chambersburg Volunteer Fire Department and a resolution authorizing a county administrator agreement with Alliant Insurance Services to provide employee‑benefit consultant services.
Tim Price, treasurer for the Stewartsville‑Chambersburg Volunteer Fire Department, told the board the vehicle will be purchased under a cost‑share arrangement in which the county provides 50 percent of the funding and the department will co‑title the truck with the county. Price asked that county staff be authorized to sign bank paperwork allowing the department to secure financing; the consent resolution authorizes the purchase.
Community Development/HR staff described the Alliant Insurance Services agreement as the result of a request‑for‑proposals process for health, dental and vision insurance consultant services. Staff said nine proposals were received and the employee committee recommends selecting Alliant, whose fee will be slightly less than the county’s current consultant.
The board approved the consent agenda by roll call. The minutes and other consent items were approved in the same action.
