The action forwards a request by Daytona Beach 1299 LLC to change roughly 2.2 acres from the T‑1 (tourist accommodations) district to a Plan Development General (PDG) designation. Dennis Mrozek, Planning Director for the City of Daytona Beach, told board members, "Staff recommends the planning board forward the rezone of the 2.2 acres from tourist accommodation to plan development general to the city commission with a recommendation of approval."
