Daytona Beach police report rises in car breaks, deploy surveillance trailer on trial loan

Captain Conde, commander for District 1 of the Daytona Beach Police Department, told the Midtown Redevelopment Board on June 10 that officers responded to 2,782 calls for service from May 13 through June 10 and opened 602 reports during that period.
The report included 84 felony arrests and 73 misdemeanor arrests, 330 traffic stops, 373 citations and 10 vehicle break-ins — eight of which involved unlocked vehicles and one of which resulted in a stolen firearm.
