County schedules three satellite voting sites for upcoming special election

SIOUX CITY — The Woodbury County auditor announced three satellite voting locations and times for a petitioned special election and said she will issue a press release with details and post them to the county website.
The scheduled satellite locations and hours are: Carpenters Union, 2200 W. 19th St., Monday, Aug. 18, 1 p.m.–7 p.m.; Community Theater, 1401 Riverside, Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1 p.m.–7 p.m.; and Long Lines, Saturday, Aug. 23, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. The auditor said facilities are handicap accessible and the county is meeting the statutory six-hour minimum for satellite locations based on expected turnout and precedent.
Action: Auditor will publish a press release and add the satellite schedule to the county website; no board action was required.
