The West Des Moines City Council unanimously approved the community development block grant (CDBG) consolidated plan elements and the 2025–26 annual action plan at its July 7 meeting.
Ryan, the city staff member who presented the item, said the notice ran in June 2025 and staff received no written comments. Council members praised Christine Gordon and the community and economic development team for their work. Councilman Lotz (surname in transcript rendered as Lotes/Lotz) noted the city received a record award of $328,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 2025.
