Franklin trustees approve June financial reports and monthly vouchers for Fund 15 and Fund 16

The Franklin Public Library board on July 28 approved the minutes from its June meeting and voted to approve the month’s vouchers and invoices for both Fund 15 and Fund 16.

Treasurer Alan Alexandrovich presented a one‑page financial summary covering through June (about 49.6% of the fiscal year). He reported Fund 15 had received roughly 96.7% of its budgeted revenue through June and that total expenditures stood at about 45.9% of the budget year‑to‑date; he highlighted the library’s annual e‑book charge of roughly $10,004 and noted an electric bill that had been booked late but reconciled. For Fund 16 she reported revenue was ahead of the pro rata expectation and year‑to‑date expenditures were lower than elapsed time.

Board members asked detailed questions about flagged items on the monthly detail sheets (for example, a May electricity posting that included an additional charge and a refund line explained as a foundation remittance). Alexandrovich said he reviewed the invoices and “saw nothing that was out of line.” Following discussion, the board approved the vouchers for Fund 15 and Fund 16 by voice vote; there were no recorded nay votes or abstentions.

The board also reviewed the month’s credit card and cash‑register reports and heard that the brief differences flagged in the detailed reports were caused by timing of bookings between months. No budget amendments were adopted at the meeting.
