The Historic Preservation Advisory Board on July 24 recommended approval of a certificate of appropriateness (CA40‑2025) to replace the roof at the county courthouse building at 226 Taylor Street with a metal roof.
Hank Flores, Urban Design manager, told the board staff had reviewed the application and determined it met the standards of review for a locally listed neoclassical revival structure built in 1926. ‘‘We have therefore recommended approval,’’ Flores said.
There were no public comments and no board objections. The motion to recommend approval passed unanimously.
The board's recommendation will be forwarded to the zoning official, who makes the final permit determination.
