HEB ISD officials reported two years of staged deployment for Laserfiche, a document-management and workflow platform, and outlined planned expansion to attendance handling, purchasing and analytics. Lindsay Hopkins, presenting a district technology update, said the district has submitted about 2,600 Laserfiche forms and uploaded roughly 72,000 files to the repository — about 37,000 employee records and 35,000 student records. Hopkins said the district began with human resources workflows and expanded into discipline, technology and payroll forms. Hopkins said the district is preparing a bullying-investigation form that will route to assistant principals, social workers, counselors and principals so every required party sees investigation documentation; the district plans to make that form live for the 2025–26 school year. Hopkins also described a proposed attendance-documentation QR code parents could use to submit doctor’s notes and absence reasons directly into Laserfiche, removing paper handling. Board members asked about timeline, scope and data uses. Hopkins said attendance and business operations conversations are underway and that converting cumulative student records will take several years; new registrants are added now and registrars scan documents at intake. Hopkins said analytics work is planned to measure processing time and identify bottlenecks. Discussion versus decision: This agenda item and subsequent discussion were informational; the transcript records no formal vote or board direction that constrained implementation beyond the presentation and verbal questions.
