The Navasota City Council on Monday approved appointments to a Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) to support the city's ongoing comprehensive plan update. Council moved to appoint a slate of community stakeholders, two council members and three planning-and-zoning representatives pending their acceptance. The full list named at the meeting included: Mr. Stadler, Mr. Cox, Ms. Clements, Ms. Perry, Ms. Richardson, Ms. Williams, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Bearden, Mayor Pro Tem Tim Fultz, Council member Hope, Ms. Copeland, Ms. Hancock and Dr. Wawa. Councilman Phillips moved for the appointments and Councilman Gessner seconded. The motion passed by voice vote with no opposition recorded. Staff said the committee size would be 13 if all appointees accept and that the committee is a sunset group created for the duration of the comprehensive-plan update. City staff said they will contact appointees to confirm willingness to serve and collect contact information; meeting scheduling will follow once confirmations are received.
