Roberts said the house is small and the manager would limit stays consistent with safety and neighborhood concerns.
Neighbors and members of the Parkwood Circle neighborhood association said they were not previously aware of short‑term rentals on their street and expressed concerns about narrow streets, on‑street parking and game‑day congestion. Andrea Caves and Ada Johnson spoke for the association and urged the board and manager to work closely with the neighborhood to prevent on‑street parking and noise.
Councilwoman Raven Howard told residents she had advised them to obtain the manager’s contact information; board members noted that short‑term rentals are subject to annual reporting and that the revenue office reconciles reported rental days against business licenses to detect misuse.
The board approved the petition (6 adults, 3 vehicles) and reiterated that complaints and 311 calls are the primary enforcement channels; staff will review any complaints during license renewal.
