A sequence of neighborhood meetings includes a community watch at Mount Zion Pleasant View Plaza on Aug. 13 at 1 p.m., a Whiting/Roberts/Dale meeting at Calumet College on Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m., and other neighborhood dates. Council reports said National Night Out will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the PAV, where residents can meet police and fire personnel and view equipment and children's activities.
Council members presented the items as community-engagement announcements; no council action was required. Residents were invited to attend and participate.
