The Atchison City Commission approved Resolution 34-18 on the consent agenda to set fees for the Lions Pool for the year. City staff said general admission rates were not increased, but the city will add a fee for swimming lessons and increase party fees.
City Manager Mark Westoff told the commission the fees had not changed for many years and the adjustments will allow the pool to add structured swim lesson pricing and to raise party rental fees. "We hadn't changed any of the fees for the Lions Pool in many years. We are not increasing the general admission rates. We are adding a fee for the swimming lessons, and we're increasing the fee for parties," Westoff said.
The consent agenda, which included approval of minutes and this resolution, was moved, seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
