Cody McClaw, finance director for West Miami, said the city has upgraded its billing system so residents can pay water and garbage bills in one place.
McClaw said the upgrade centralizes utility and sanitation payments and provides a range of payment methods for residents. "You can now pay your water and your garbage bill in 1 place," he said.
McClaw told attendees he was joined by the finance team and outlined how customers can pay: by setting up an online account and managing it from a phone or computer; by calling or using a chat service to pay by phone; by using an automated phone line with prompts; by mailing a check; or by stopping by City Hall to pay in person. He described the system as "fast, secure, and made for US Miami."
The announcement was presented as an informational update; no formal action or vote was recorded in the transcript.
