Mayor Sherry Alcopello told the council she had reappointed Guadalupe Barba, Janelle Grama, Joseph Morales and Richard Wirtz to the Design Review Board for five‑year terms effective July 22, 2025. The mayor said the seven‑member board represents a downtown business owner, city staff, a city council member and the historical society and reviews requests for murals and other public art.
A resident asked whether recent murals and facade changes had been presented to the board; a board representative, Janelle Grama, said the board reviews murals and public art within public view and also reviews historical features on buildings in the historic overlay district. Grama told the meeting the board saw one mural the prior week that had not approached the board, and the mayor and Grama said the board will need to handle that situation.
No formal action was required; the mayor presented the communication and council received it.
