El Dorado Chamber names Paige McDaniel interim executive director

Paige McDaniel told the El Dorado City Commission on June 16 that she is serving as interim executive director of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and that the chamber will continue scheduled programs and events without disruption.
"My focus over the next few months is stability, communication, and consistency," McDaniel said, noting she served three years as the chamber’s executive assistant and has worked with members and partners to plan events and respond to business needs. She told the commission she will be visible in the community, meeting with members and coordinating with the city on economic-development matters.
McDaniel said she is working closely with the chamber board of directors to align priorities with member and community needs during the leadership transition and thanked the commission for the opportunity to address them.
No formal action was taken by the commission on the chamber announcement; the statement was made during the public-comment portion of the meeting.
