El Dorado Municipal Band announces 103rd season, 10 concerts starting May 29

Anita Sibley, vice president of the El Dorado Municipal Band, told the city commission May 19 that the band will begin its 103rd consecutive season with practice on May 22 and its first concert on May 29.
Sibley said the band will perform 10 concerts, mostly on Thursdays, with an exception for the Flight Day celebration on Saturday, June 14. Notable events include a memorial concert and ice cream social on June 19 and a bake sale on July 10; proceeds from those two events will go to scholarships at Butler Community College. Concerts will be held at Forest Park at 7:30 p.m.; in case of rain performances will move to the Butler Community College Welcome Center. Sibley also listed board members and band directors for the season and thanked the city for continued support, inviting commissioners and residents to attend.
