The council approved a $25,000 additional appropriation from the county general fund to cover PERF and payroll obligations. The motion to approve the appropriation was made and seconded on the record and carried by voice vote.
The council also approved a $4,000 additional appropriation from the prosecutor's pretrial diversion fund into the prosecutor's travel line to cover expenses incurred between December and May; the motion was made by Mr. Weir and seconded by Mr. Costello and approved by voice vote.
Transfers approved or reported included: - A $5,000 transfer for the assessor moving funds from professional services into the part-time help line to retain a college-student assistant for a limited period; the council voted to approve the transfer. - A $25,000 transfer from redevelopment capital outlays into professional services for architectural plans for the Ernie Pyle building remodel to accommodate a daycare; the council voted to approve this transfer after discussion. - Several reporting-only transfers that did not require votes, including $5,311.07 from janitor supplies to safety equipment (courthouse generator repairs), $335.50 within E911 for headsets, and $1,500 moved across three highway districts for contracted tree trimming.
